P-51 Mustang

The second aircraft I made, a replica P-51. This time, I had the money to get a pre-laser cut airframe(credit to Flite Test) but not the recommended parts--- I simply scrapped the old aircraft and made use of its parts. Because of this, my first flight was much too nose-heavy(my first introduction to Cl, Cg, and CoM). Hand launching always led to crashes, so I improvised retractable gears(which you can see in my video, with a paint scheme). Of all my planes, I think this one took the most of a beating every flight, with parts breaking and me fabricating new ones every so often. Those gears were a nice novelty for a while, but I discovered they could not support the impacts from even a soft landing--- hard gears replaced them. This plane would later be scrapped as well for the servos and motor.
